Can Copper IUD Coil Check Up Be Done During Menstruation?

Hi, it s a question regarding contraception. I had the Copper IUD inserted roughly around November I now booked an appointment to see my nurse this week unfortunately I started my period this week as well and was wondering if I could still visit my nurse for a coil check up/remove it. Thanks
