Can I Drain The Blood Blister On Foot With A Sterilized Needle?

I went to my dermatologist yesterday and got something removed on the bottom of my foot using liquid nitrogen. Today, I have developed a very painful blood blister about the size of 3/4 of a marble in that spot; it is black with a slight purplish tint to it. It is very painful to walk on and I have to walk long distances for work and school. Would it be alright for me to drain the blister myself with a sterilized needle?
