Can I Remove Metal Plates Inserted In Cheeks From 9 Years?

hello, i have a good question for you. i have two metal plates in my left cheek bone 1 upper and 1 lower, now these plate got put in 9 years ago, and i would like to know if i should get them removed? im starting to get angery all the time and i need to know if its the plates. thank you for your time doctor.
