Can I Still Get Pregnant After Unprotected Sex If I Haven’t Had A Period In Two Months Due To Stopping Birth Control?

I have an irregular cycle and have been on birth control pills and patches for years to correct it. I decided to stop taking them because I want to know WHY I have to take hormones..like what is wrong? For my futures sake. Doctors always say if I m not actively trying then nothing is wrong. With that being said, I had unprotected sex two days in a row about 1 week ago. I haven t had a period in two months. Is it true that I won t get pregnant since no period means no ovulation? I m 29 and would be ok with a pregnancy. Just anxious to know if there s any possibility.
