can i take clarithromycin for cystitis? i am quite prone to cystitis which previously has developed into pyelonephritis. i have nitrofirantoin from my GP for future occurances however they are 50 miles away from me! obviously i will struggle to see a GP today. my partner took clarythromycin for a chest infection but they made him nauseous so he had to get a different antibiotic. these are therefore left over. i am not allergic to any antibiotics taht i know of. shall i take them and are they likely to be effective in UTI?
