Can I Take Deriphylline Retard For Relief From Dry Cough And Chest Mucus That Persist?

Hello, I went to beach on 18th Feb 2021 and got cold n fever. I bought medicines to get my fever n cold arrested. But it ended up with dry cough. I could not control it then. I went to doctor on march 30th 2021 n he suggested a syrup for dry cough and three more tablets viz., Tab Montek LC, Tab Doxt Sl, Tab Cebin 500. But still the dry cough n mucuse cluster in chest exist. Suggest me medicine. Can i take deriphyilne 150 redard. Advice me please. Thanks
