Can I Use Fucidin Ointment In An Open Wound? Intracite

Can I use Fucidin ointment in an open wound? Intracite gel was used at the clinic but I was still on my course of Clindahexal oral antibiotics at the time, and that has finished in the meantime. I have a pre-tibial wound caused by blunt trauma which now, after debridement of necrotic tissue and expulsion of a large haematoma being done by a doctor, and granulation having taken place subsequently in the 'hole' over the course of about 35 days, is now about 2.5-3 mm deep and about 12-13mm in diameter at the surface.
I can't get back to the clinic for about 3 days to come and I still have all of my other supplies - I'm just nervous of re-infection (It got infected on about day 5 -ish, which was subsequently cleared), since my course of oral antibiotics have finished. I am irrigating the wound with sterile saline and changing the dressings every second day. I am using a 'compression sock' on the affected leg. I am not diabetic and the wound seems to be healing nicely now.
