Can I Use A Mount Numbing Oral Jell Or Spray For My Swollen Lip?

I just had a small benign cist removed from the inside of my upper lip that required 2 stitches.
My lip is very swollen. My doctor told me to eat soft food, which I have but I am still in a lot of pain.

Can I use a mount numbing oral jell or spray? Also, I’m not sure if I should brush my teeth or use Listerine.
