Can I Use Natural Progesterone Creams For Menopause Symptoms?

I am in menopause currently and have very bad night sweats, hot flashes and insomnia. I am also on thyroid meds (levoxyl). Can I use the natural progesterone creams I read about online? Do they also cause cancer or will I have any trouble using this cream as I am on thyroid meds? I need something to help these terrible hot flashes!!! thanks-
