Can I Wait For An Year For Bilateral Ovary Removal?

I have a minimally complex cystic enlargement of the right ovary measuring 5.4 X 4.7 X4.8 cm. Minimal think internal septation noted; parenchymal flow appears to be present in the ovary periphery. I can not afford surgery but the doctor is wanting me to do bilateral ovary removal. Bilateral simply because I am 55. I can't figure out if I go into serious debt or wait a year.
