Can I Ward Off A Second Bout Of Pleurisy With A Good Dosage Of Ibuprofen?

Can I ward off a second bout of pleurisy with a good dosage of Ibuprofen? In August I was diagnosed with pleurisy. At that time they discovered that I have mild emphysema. I am a 43 year old female ex-smoker (quit 5 years ago). I have a sharp pain with inhalation today that is reminiscent of my first bout of pleurisy. Will the Ibuprofen stop it in it s tracks or must I have a doctor administer steroids and anti-inflammatory meds IM again?
