Can IBS Cause Bloating In Upper Abdomen At The Top Of Rib Cage?

I have been experiencing a bloated feeling in my upper abdomen right at the top of my rib cage on both sides. On the left side I have some discomfort. I know I have irritable bowel syndrome- this discomfort seems to come and go but sometimes can last for weeks. Eating seems to make it a little worse but not always. Not sure what might be causing this. Thanks for your help.
