Can Liptor Pill Be Crushed And Mixed With Water To Intake?

my 86 yr old mom had a few strokes is taking Liptor 80mgs. She has speech and swallowing problems enow and the pill is too large for her to swallow. tried cutting in half either way and it s still a problem. Can this pill be crushed and if so what to mix it with to make it easy for her to swallow? YYYY@YYYY
