Can Lo Loestrin Cause Pleurisy?

Hi there, I just started taking lo loestrin birth control a little over a Month ago. yesterday, I went to the ER for chest pain and stabbing pains on the side where the rib is located. The pains are on my left side. the doctor said I have pleurisy, but prior to diagnosing they tested for a blood clot in the lung. I was wondering if birth control can cause pleurisy? and can a blood clot be in the process of forming and maybe it s not detectable at this point? I m concerned that I actually have a clot forming and maybe should discontinue the birth control ? It seems like too much of a coincidence that I have possible side effects of a clot right after starting birth control. thanks in advance
