Can Marvelon Pills Be Taken Instead Of Yasmin?

I have been on the birth control pill Yasmin for 3 years, and I am about to change to Marvelon. Should I just switch over to it as soon as my Yasmin pills run out, or is there a more specific way to make the switch. Are these two pills compatible in terms of hormone level and hormone release phases?
