Can Metformin Cause A False Positive Pregnancy Test Result, Given That I Haven T Had A Period In 3 Months?

So I just took a pregnancy test and it came back positive, so I took 2 more, same result. I started taking Metformin for high insulin 26 days ago, and was given a pregnancy test then that was negative, and I haven t had a period in 3 months. So could the medication metformin cause me to get a false positive result?
