Can Methylprednisolone And Benzonatate Be Taken Together?

Can methylprednisolone and benzonatate be taken together. They are prescribed by two different doctors for two completely different health issues. The steroids are for my back and the other for my cough. My cough was getting better, but now a couple hours after I took my first dose of methyl I am having a coughing fit.
