Can Norethisterone Tablet Taken During Spotting Postpone Periods?

Hi, went to my gp and got the norethisterone tablets to delay my periods which would have started on the 19th, I'm now spotting, will it still be effective if I wait, or should I still take them now and get another packet prescribed to me, as it will finish before I leave for my holiday
