Can Oxycocet And Oxycodone Be Taken While Being Allergic To ASA Or Codiene?

Due to the fact that I am in great pain, but am allergic to any drug that had ASA or codiene in it the doctor has prescribed Ratio-Oxycocet 5mg / 325mg tab Oxycodone-HC/Acetaminophen 5mg/325mg I know these are highly addictive, but have taken them before without incident. I am 80 yr of age, but still working a 28 hr schedule each week. I am retiring in April, but still need to work and ask for assistance. Need to know the best way to use this med safely.
