Can PID Cause Irregular Periods?

Hello.....I had missed my period back in December! Thinking it was from pregnancy, I went to the hospital where I was diagnosed with PID! It's now March and still no period, but yet I'm having pregnancy symptoms! Is the PID the cause of the missed period?
