Can Prednisone Be Taken While Suffering From Skin Issues?

I have been on Prednison for many years for my colon.... I believe since I was 23, and now my body doesn't want to heal like a normal body would...I have suffered with many issues after this including my emotions, and sores... It has been hard to fight off colds, and if my skin bruised it will stay that way for months... Am 30 years of age and I feel older. It's hard to control anger, so I just gave in and have made the choice to withdraw from most things in life...
