Can Pristiq Elevate Blood Pressure?

I take Pristiq 100 mg for anxiety & depression. Do you know if this med can cause my blood pressure to rise? I m on treatment for high blood pressure & take Diovin once a day, but sometimes it gets really high - last night it was 188/111. My doc says Pristiq shouldn t make it raise that much. Thank you,
