Can Rabipur Vaccine And Tetanus Injection Be Taken On Thigh Post Dog Bite?

Hi, a stray pup bit me on my hand yesterday and I have taken Rabipur vaccine and tetanus injection. The wound seems minor with little bleading at time of bite. The doctor had injected me in the thigh region, is that a right place to take injection for 23 years old guy or was it necessary to be taken in arm as I read this vaccine is to be taken in arm. Also feeling that my hand feels a bit heavy, is it natural?
