Can Statins Cause Meralgia Paresthetica? I Take Provastatin For Almost

Can Statins cause meralgia paresthetica? I take Provastatin for almost a year now. Prior to that around and about 5 years ago I was taking simvastatin. I had the meralgia symptoms 5 years ago, but was also doing weight watchers, and the symptoms went away. Thought it may have been because I lost weight. 5 years later, meralgia symptoms pop back up, and I am on pravastatin. I did gain my weight back, but no more than what I had been. I do not wear tight clothing, and not pregnant. What do you think?
