Can Zithromax Be Taken During Early Pregnancy?

I just found out I am preganat the doctor does not want to see me till I am 8 to 10 weeks the doctor at er gave me zithromax I am worried if I should take it I don't wanna wait to lo g and it hurt the baby or take it and find out I didn't need to take it I can't talk to my obgn until there open Monday
