Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Can a change in the ph of urine make a person more susceptible to urinary tract infections? I recently had symptoms of a urinary tract infection, urinating frequently but in small amounts and had some bloody urine. These symptoms lasted only a few hours and I felt fine after that. I was told my WBC's was up slightly and there was a change in the ph of the urine. The sample was sent out to a lab and many days later I was put on an antibiotic. Thank you
