Can A Knee Support Reduce Knee Pain?

Hello, My Legs Aspecially My Knees Have Been Really Badly Hurting. My Mum thought it was growing pains, but its been going on for 4-5months. i cant do anything from walking up stairs to getting up from a school chair. is there anything that will help the pain like a knee support?
