Can A Mosquito Bite Cause White Stripes On Legs?

I was using the computer when i suddenly felt itchy and was straching my leg when i caught sight of a mosquito. As i smacked it, there was blood. This means that the mosquito had just bitten me. As i held it up close, i saw white stripes on its legs. Could it be an Aedes mosquito and is there a way prevent Dengue or whatever a Aedes mosquito causes?
