Can A Pus Filled Cystic Pimple Be A Staph Infection?

i have what i think is a cystic pimple and it has a hole in the middle where puss and white matter came out. it is still swollen and seeping could i have staph? from what ive read it sounds similar. i have had the bump for months it wasnt big,, until yesterday
