Can A Small Red Bumps On Vagina Be A Diaper Rash?

Hi - my daughter has small red bumps on her vagina, specifically her labia. When we change her diapers, she says it hurts - when she has a big bowel movement, she also says it hurts. I think it is a yeast diaper rash and was going to treat with anti-yeast or anti-fungal cream prior to going to the doctor. Does this sound right?
