Can Bandaid Be Used Over Cyst On Forehead?

doctor said i have what looks to be a scabbed over cyst on my forehead and was told to put some steroid cream on it everyday for two weeks .. this would not be a problem but i have an 8 month old son who does sometimes touch my face and im scared he will touch it and put his hands in his mouth .. my question is would it be okay to put a bandaid on it?
