Can Birth Control Pills Cause Delayed Period?

I took duphaston from cd 16-25 this is my third cycle using this medication, The last two cycles my period has come within 2-5 of stopping the medication. It has now been 10 Days since i last took duphaston and still i havent had my period, Ive tested on a HPT with a negative result. Any advice as what could be causing this delay?
