Can Birth Control Shot Cause Nausea And Heart Burn?

My daughter is 16 and on the Depo birth control shot. She has been feeling nausea, complaining of heart burn and just not feeling like her self for the past two weeks. Is this normal. She got the shot back in October for the first time and just got the second round in February. Can some one help me out
