Can Burnt Skin Peel Off Several Times?

Hi, I burned myself with a curling iron and resulted in second degree burn. It's been 8days and the top dry skin has peeled off.. But now I have a slightly stiff and projected pink skin
The burn is about 2cm x 1cm on my hand.. It worries me that it might leave a scar as the skin in that area is soft.
Can burnt skin peel off several times?
