Can cefuroxime axetil be used in placed of amoxicillin? My husband has to take amoxicillin prior to going to see the dentist because he had a knee replacement. He is currently taking the cefuroxime axetil for a sinus infection. Is it okay to keep the dentist appointment when he's taking this and not the amoxicillin?
