Can Cervix Scarring Cause Infertility Problems?

Recently had a pap smear and the Dr couldn't get the swab in my cervix , I have two chilDren my second birth in 96 was painful and there was some tearing I had a LEEP procedure in2006. Since then I have been unable to become pregnant. Could the scarring on my cervix be the cause?
