Can Children's Mucinex Be Given While Treating ADHD?

Our daughter has just started taking Dexmethylphenidate HCL for ADHD and has just started with a very bad cold. We were wondering if it would be safe to give her Children's Mucinex for the cold symptons she has. She is 7 years old and weighs 42 pounds.
