Can Common Cold Without Fever Increase The Breathing Rate?

hi actually I have a slight cold...there is no fever but i do have a runny nose and I find that I have an increased breathing rate

my normal breathing rate is about 24 breaths/minute and currently it is about 28 breaths/minute is this normal. I know that if you have a fever, your breathing rate normally goes up because of increased need for oxygen but i don't have a fever. Help please.
