Can Contraceptive Pill Cause Abnormal Menstrual Discharge?

Hi, I have been taking the pill (Nora) for more then a year now. Recently I ve had strange jelly-like dark red clots instead of my period in between two strips. Do you know whats this is? Should I be concerned? I am 20 years old and haven t been sexually involved recently.
