Can Delay In Inserting Nuvaring Cause Any Problem?

I’ve been off the Nuvaring for about a month and a half now and I was told by my doctor to reinsert it on the third day of my next period. Well, needless to say, I haven’t had it yet and it was supposed to be here about 4 days ago. What should I do?
