Can Dosage Of Losarten Potassium Be Reduced To Stablilize BP?

I am a long time insulin dependent diabetic. For the past 2 years have been taking Losarten Potassium 50mg for kidney protection and my blood pressure held at 60 over 120. For the last 6 months my blood pressure dropped to 44 and 42 the last two times it was taken. Should I try taking 25mg by halving the tablet or wait until I see my doctor in 6 months?
