Can Ear Infection Be Caused By HIV?

Ten days after unprotected sex I got a severe headache followed by pressure in my ears, tender nodes in my neck, constipation and body aches. I went to the doctor and he said I had an ear infection maybe even mono. I know mono is closely related to hiv? Can the ear infection be caused by hiv? The ear infection can only about for a few of the other symptoms I m having what about the rest?
