Can Elevated GGt Levels Cause Rash Like Effects?

My husband has type 2 diabetes. He is on Glucophage, lipitor and Tritace. His last GGT level was 199. All other LFT's were within the normal range. His cholesterol is lower than normal parameters. Last reading was 3.4 HDL was low at 0.86. Should he discontinue taking the Lipitor when his cholesterol is lower than normal . He is very lethargic and is developing an itchy sensation of his trunk and legs. I am wondering if the irritation is due to raised GGT levels?
