Can Emergency Contraceptive Pill Be Taken Along With Regular Pill?

Hello,

My gf had been taking a daily contraceptive pill for 3 days. We had sex and the condom broke. I went the next day to get emergency contraceptive (the morning after pill) and she took 1 of 2 pills provided (next one to be taken 12 hours after), but she also took her regular pill after the first. It said nothing about this on the instructions.

Could you please suggest what she should or should not do?
