Can Exposure To Mercury Cause White Spots On Skin?

hello, my husband has some small white boils on parts of his face, and his lips...he deals with gold is it possible its the effect of the mercury in his body?
our eight months old baby has these same boils on his skin...
would be happy for an explaination
