Can Glue Be Used To Retain The Nail In Smashed Thumbnail?

I recently smashed my thumbnail and had to get it lanced to drain the pressure. It has since grown out somewhat and now the drained part (3/4 of the nail) is going to fall off. I have kept it clean with peroxide and so it isn't infected...but I was wondering if I could crazyglue it back on so it doesn't rip off the last 1/4 of nail attatched?
