Can Hysterectomy Treat Fibroid Related Spotting, Cramping And Black Vaginal Discharge?

i had an endometrium ablation 2 years ago. 2 months ago i started spotting and cramping and having sharp pains on my left side and i feel fluttering in my lower ab now the discharge is thick and black i went to the ER was told that i have a fibroid the size of a tennis ball. i am scheduled to get a partial hysterectomy will that help solve my problems? i am 36 5'1 and i weigh about 150
