Can Increased Dosage Of Levothyroxine Cause Hair Loss?

Three weeks ago my levothyroxine has been increased from 75mcg to 100mcg. Can this increase cause an extreme amount of hair loss? I am a 58 white female weighing 160. No allergies except antibiotic creams. I am one year post op left ventricular repair and going thru menopause. Thank you
