Can Inflammation Of Intestines Post Childbirth Cause Abdominal Pain?

Hi, I had a baby 15 months ago. Normal pregnancy and delivery. Since then i have been experiencig abdominal pain . I have had an ultrasound scan 12 weeks postpartum and everything looked fine with my womb and ovaries. I've been to my GP and was given anti spasm medication and told it was an inflammation of the intestines. I hope you can advise. Thank you.
