Can Ingesting Unused Staples Mistakenly Cause Stomach Upset?

I was eating salad at a restaurant and something was hard so I pulled it out of my mouth and it was several un used staples. I don t think I swallowed any but I have had an up set stomach for the last to days. It could be related or not. What should I do?
